Baltic TRAM has shown its commitment to the comprehensive approach of macro-regional advancement of innovation by taking part in the public consultation, aimed at gathering input for the Baltic 2030 Action Plan. This Action Plan will explain the macro-regional approach towards implementation of the globally defined Agenda 2030.

The submitted position demonstrates Baltic TRAM’s understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals, thus advancing beyond the Baltic TRAM’s affiliation to Sustainable Development Goal 9 “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure” and its specific target 9.5.

The submitted position is also a vivid example of Baltic TRAM’s interest in supporting the CBSS long-term priority “Sustainable and Prosperous Region” in an even broader sense than defined in the CBSS 2016 Polish Chair’s Conclusions. These were adopted after the first CBSS Science Ministerial which took place on 16 June 2016 in Kraków. As a result, the project’s partnership is not only contributing to the advancement of the CBSS Science, Research and Innovation Agenda, but also feeds into the CBSS multilateral sustainability dialogue.
