Baltic TRAM is an important project of the overall collaborative landscape characterising the Baltic Sea Region. Its role in advancing the cooperation between SMEs and analytical research facilities was presented to the Russian student group right after the launch of the international celebration of the World Science Day for Peace and Development 2018.

On 12 November 2018, the CBSS Secretariat welcomed students from Saint Petersburg State University, Moscow State Institute of International Relations, St. Petersburg Association for International Cooperation, Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, as well as Nordic Rise.

Besides the vast scope of thematic cooperation supported by the Council of the Baltic Sea States, Baltic TRAM was outlined in the light of the 2018 European Innovation Scoreboard, which testifies to the promising potential in which Baltic TRAM facilitated cooperation is placed.
